Welcome

 Bedale Under Fives is a charitable Committee run Pre-school/Playgroup organisation which was established in 1990, located upstairs in Bedale Hall.

 We hope that you and your child enjoy looking around the Bedale Under Fives website and that you find it to be both useful and informative.

At Bedale Under Fives the children always come first and we firmly believe that children learn through play and interaction. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage and all activities that your child will participate in are carefully planned to follow this.

Bedale Under Fives is run as a charity, a small fee must be paid for your child to attend. The fee’s are charged at the beginning of each half term.

 Once your child has turned 3 years old they are given government funding for the term after their birthday for 12.5 hours of childcare per week. You can use this funding to pay for your child's place at Bedale Under Fives. We currently give children 15 hours of childcare per week so you will recieve an extra 2.5 hours for free!

Bedale Under Fives takes children from 2 years old until the term before they start school. We also facilitate for children who are not yet potty trained.

The Playgroup was formed in 1990 and is run by a dedicated team of staff who all have a wealth of knowledge and experience. Plus they have the added benefit of all being mothers themselves!

Bedale Under Fives is a registered charity and is managed by a group of parents whose children attend the playgroup, therefore having a strong interest in it’s development and success.

We are registered with OFSTED and we are also members of the Pre-school Learning Alliance, who we are fully insured through.

All staff have been CRB checked and all of our staff take child protection very seriously. We only allow our staff to take children to the toilet.
